Programme
Management
A programme of work is a series of projects that individually
delivers specific business objectives. Programme management is
a challenge for any organisation as it typically involves change
with associated heightened risk.
At a programme level, failure is not an option for organisations,
as the business case is inevitably overwhelming and the reward
for success is enormous. However, organisations tend to keep their
projects to a minimum, and, therefore, do not maintain a pool
of internal resource, with the appropriate skills, to programme
manage them.
Pathfinder Projects has experience of running programmes of work
and is able to deliver a unified management and reporting structure,
which recognises that each project is a step in delivering a larger
business aim or goal.
Pathfinder Projects ensures that:
- Programme review and reporting is managed, clearly, through
to your steering group or management team.
- Milestones, benchmarks and progress indicators are monitored
against plans for each phase of the rollout of the programme.
- Resources and budgets are managed to ensure the best value
for our client.
- Risk is monitored and managed to ensure that the impact is
minimised and that key issues are brought to the steering group
in a timely way.
- The critical path is monitored to ensure the interlocking
of projects is kept on track.
- Communications - up, down and across the reporting chains
are provided in a clear and objective way.
